‘ALMAZ by MOMO’, an irresistible gourmet experience in the legendary Maghrebin style of cuisine in level three of Harvey Nichols at the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. After taking London by storm, Mourad ‘Momo’ Mazouz introduces the legacy to Dubai’s gourmet & lifestyle aficionados.

Harvey Nichols, already well loved as a premier fashion store, provides the perfect home for Dubai’s trendy new restaurant, much like the flagship restaurant in London, popularly frequented by celebrities like Madonna, Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney amongst several others.

Shireen El Khatib, General Manager fashion and jewellery division Al Tayer Group said, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the this wonderful restaurant which is about creativity, novelty, excellence in food and service presented in an opulent and sophisticated ambiance. This restaurant perfectly complements the Harvey Nichols experience.”

A blend of innovation and tradition ranging from food to décor, ‘ALMAZ by MOMO’ is a welcome first by Mourad ‘Momo’ Mazouz in the Middle East. ‘ALMAZ by MOMO’ offers an eclectic blend of intoxicating music, inspiring menus and non-alcoholic cocktails. An inviting array of breads and desserts at the patisserie counter at the entrance, allows guests to take some of the Almaz experience home.

Speaking about the unique concept, Mourad Momo Mazouz said, “the ethos of this restaurant is to entice people from all walks of life – regardless of race, color, creed, class or age, to mix together while enjoying the Maghrebin cuisine, world music, friendly staff and a unique atmosphere. I am delighted to present to cosmopolitan Dubai ‘ALMAZ by MOMO’, a unique restaurant.”

‘Almaz’, meaning ‘diamond’ in Arabic, is a place that is best described as ‘atmospheric’ offering various dining options. The décor of the restaurant is representative of the tastes, flavors and references of the Arab World, with a modern interpretation. A distinct design feature is its cathedral-like ceiling broken into smaller surfaces, which progress along the different spaces in the restaurant, artfully reflecting the diverse moods and enhancing the creation of various atmospheres.

Enjoy the music and ambience of the restaurant at home with Most Records (a company owned by Momo), a series of compilation CD’s created by Mourad and Stephane Malca (formerly Momo’s musical director) featuring captivating restaurant classics and collections like One night at Momo, Latinesque and Arabesque. Create sumptuous Maghrebin culinary dishes at home, with the Momo Cookbook – A Journey through North Africa, which leads the reader on a cultural and visually stunning journey through Maghreb.  The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2002 awarded it the ‘Best Mediterranean Cookbook in the World’. With innumerable accolades to his credit, Mourad never ceases to excite and engage its world audience in Paris, London or Dubai.
